Tsubasa Tanuma

About Tsubasa Tanuma

Tsubasa Tanuma is Nagisa's boyfriend, a friendly Shuchiin student who regularly runs to Miyuki for love advice, usually while Miyuki is fighting his own secret war with Kaguya. Earnest and a little clueless, Tsubasa treats every small relationship problem like a final exam. His honest, uncomplicated romance with Nagisa quietly shows the main couple what they are working towards.

Appearance

Tsubasa is an ordinary, pleasant-looking teenager with short dark hair, usually in his Shuchiin uniform, with an anxious expression whenever romance is the subject, which, for him, is always.

Personality

Tsubasa is kind, earnest and chronically insecure, overthinking kisses, gifts and anniversaries alike. His honesty is his charm: unlike the council, he actually asks for help and talks to his girlfriend.

Background & Story

Tsubasa comes from a family of doctors and is expected to follow them into medicine. His relationship with Nagisa Kashiwagi makes him Miyuki's most regular advice client, an irony the series enjoys, since Miyuki dispenses confident counsel while fighting his own unconfessed war. Tsubasa and Nagisa's steady, communicative romance quietly proves the main couple's whole conflict unnecessary.

Key Relationships

• Nagisa Kashiwagi: His girlfriend, whose patience his anxieties constantly test and rely on.
• Miyuki Shirogane: His reluctant love guru, consulted at maximum inconvenience.
• Maki Shijo: Nagisa's friend, whose secret feelings for him he has never noticed.
