About Papa Shirogane
Papa Shirogane is Miyuki and Kei's father, an unemployed former factory owner who now streams videos and dispenses love advice with total confidence. He raised two remarkable children alone after the family fell apart, and his cheerful shamelessness hides real sacrifice. Every scene he steals shows where Miyuki's stubbornness, and his heart, actually come from.
Appearance
Papa Shirogane is a middle-aged man with shaggy light hair and a laid-back air, usually in casual home clothes, often in front of a streaming camera. He looks like Miyuki after twenty years of choosing relaxation.
Personality
He is cheerful, shameless and oddly wise, a man who lost his company and his wife, never lost his humour, and dispenses romantic counsel online with the confidence of a sage and the track record of a cautionary tale.
Background & Story
Papa Shirogane once ran a factory; when it failed, the family fell apart and his wife left, taking the youngest child with her. He raised Miyuki and Kei in straitened circumstances, drifting between part-time work and internet streaming, and somehow produced the two most capable teenagers in the series. His appearances are comic relief with a foundation: Miyuki's stubbornness and heart both come from somewhere.
Key Relationships
- Miyuki Shirogane: His son, whose work ethic is the opposite of his, and whose heart is the same.
- Kei Shirogane: His daughter, who manages him with fond exasperation.
