Nagisa Kashiwagi

About Nagisa Kashiwagi

Nagisa Kashiwagi is a Shuchiin student in a real, functioning relationship, which makes her Kaguya's unwilling love guru. She and her boyfriend Tsubasa somehow stay sweet and sensible while the council's geniuses treat romance as warfare. Nagisa's calm advice, gentle patience and occasional total exasperation give Kaguya-sama a healthy picture of what love looks like without the games.

Appearance

Nagisa is a gentle-looking teenager with shoulder-length dark hair, usually in her Shuchiin uniform, with a warm, patient expression that survives even Kaguya's strangest consultations.

Personality

Nagisa is sweet, sensible and endlessly patient, up to a point. She gives honest advice, worries about her boyfriend's insecurities and occasionally reaches total exasperation with the council's geniuses, who treat holding hands like a military campaign.

Background & Story

Nagisa is one of the few Shuchiin students in an established couple, dating Tsubasa Tanuma. Because she has what Kaguya wants, Kaguya consults her in disguised, hypothetical terms that fool no one, and Nagisa answers with the calm of a girl whose relationship works precisely because nobody in it is playing war games. Her storylines are the series' control group: ordinary love, functioning normally, next door to the main event.

Key Relationships

• Tsubasa Tanuma: Her boyfriend, whose earnest anxieties she steadies.
• Kaguya Shinomiya: Her classmate and secret love-war client, whose 'hypothetical' questions Nagisa answers kindly.
• Maki Shijo: Her close friend, whose own feelings for Tsubasa Nagisa does not know about.
