Editorial Policy
This page explains, in plain language, how AnimeYug creates its content. What we write ourselves, where our facts come from, and what you can do if something is wrong. Last updated: October 2026.
1. Everything we publish is original writing
Every summary, character profile, news article and guide on AnimeYug is written by our own team, in our own words. We do not copy synopses, articles or descriptions from other websites, databases or wikis, not even in shortened or lightly edited form. If a piece of writing on this site reads like it came from somewhere else, that is a mistake, and we want to know about it.
2. Researched from multiple sources
No fact on AnimeYug comes from just one place. Our team researches every title across multiple sources and cross-checks them against each other before anything is published. Official anime websites and official announcements always come first, and we confirm details with reputable reporting on top of that. If two sources disagree, we go with the official one, and if we cannot confirm a detail, we leave it out rather than guess.
We also do not copy information from any single website or database, and we never re-publish another database's content as our own. Facts are gathered and verified by us, and every word of text on AnimeYug is then written by us, in our own words. Our writing is researched by us, written by us, and copyright-free. The one exception is cover art: the posters and key visuals next to each title belong to the studios, and section 5 explains how and why we show them. If you are a rights holder and have a concern about anything on the site, the corrections and takedown contact in sections 7 and 8 below applies to this as well.
3. Facts are verified against official sources
Facts are different from writing. A title, a season, an episode format or a premiere date is a fact, and facts must be correct. We compile facts from official sources first: official anime websites, studio and production committee announcements, publisher announcements, and official broadcaster or streaming announcements. For release dates, we publish only dates that an official source has announced. If a date or detail has not been officially confirmed, we either leave it out or clearly mark it as unconfirmed, we never present a rumour as a fact, and we never invent a date.
4. News is reported in our own words, with credit
Our news articles are original reports written from official announcements. Every news article names its source and links to the official announcement, so you can always check the original for yourself. We do not rewrite other news sites' articles, and we do not publish leaks or rumours as news.
5. Cover art
The cover images and key art shown next to each anime belong to that anime's studio, production committee and creators. AnimeYug does not own this artwork and does not claim to. We show it only so you can recognise each show, the same way other anime databases and guides do. All of our writing, summaries and page designs are still our own original work.
If you are a rights holder and you would like any cover or key art removed from AnimeYug, email us at contact@animeyug.com with the page link. We will take it down promptly, the same takedown route described in section 8 below.
6. Simple, friendly language
We write for everyone, including people who are new to anime. That means short sentences, common words, and explanations when a term might be unfamiliar. Helpful and clear always beats clever and confusing.
7. Corrections
If you spot a wrong fact, a wrong date or anything that looks copied, please email us at contact@animeyug.com with the page link and what needs fixing. We check every genuine report, correct real errors as quickly as we can, and update the page. Getting it right matters more to us than being first.
8. Copyright and takedown requests
AnimeYug respects the work of anime creators and rights holders. We do not host, stream or link to pirated video, and we do not sell merchandise. If you are a rights holder (or represent one) and you believe any content on AnimeYug (text, a title card, or anything else) uses your work without permission, email contact@animeyug.com with the page URL and a short description of the content. We review genuine requests promptly and remove or replace material where a claim is valid.
9. How we make money
AnimeYug is free to read. In the future, the site may show advertising to cover its running costs; our Privacy Policy explains what that would mean for cookies. Advertising will never change what we write or how we check facts.
