Dragon Ball Super is Toei Animation's 2015 sequel to Dragon Ball Z, based on story concepts by Akira Toriyama. Its 131 episodes cover the Battle of Gods, Resurrection 'F', Universe 6, Future Trunks and Tournament of Power arcs, ending in 2018, with the story continuing in the Broly and Super Hero films.
About Dragon Ball Super
Peace after the fight with Majin Buu does not last long. When Beerus, the God of Destruction, wakes from a long sleep looking for the Super Saiyan God of his dreams, Goku's world opens up to a whole multiverse. Dragon Ball Super is the 2015 sequel series from Toei Animation, set in the ten quiet years between Majin Buu's defeat and the final episodes of Dragon Ball Z. After retelling the films Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F' with new detail, the series moves into fully new stories: a tournament against the fighters of Universe 6, the return of Future Trunks and his battle with the rogue god Zamasu, and the Tournament of Power, where eight universes fight and the losers are erased from existence. Goku reaches godly new forms, Vegeta keeps pace as his proud rival, and old friends like Krillin, Android 18 and Master Roshi return to the battlefield. Aired from 2015 to 2018 across 131 episodes, Super brought Dragon Ball back as a weekly global event and set up the films Broly and Super Hero.
Dragon Ball Super is a TV anime from 2015, first released in Summer 2015. It belongs to the Action and Adventure and Comedy genres and is listed as a completed series. The summary above is written by the AnimeYug team in our own words.

Story & Plot
Months after Majin Buu's defeat, Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7, comes to Earth chasing a vision of a Super Saiyan God. Goku reaches that godly form with his friends' help and earns Beerus's respect, and a dangerous new friendship. Soon Frieza is revived by his loyal soldiers and returns with a golden transformation, and after his defeat Goku and Vegeta begin training under Beerus's attendant, Whis, to control divine power.
The story then widens to the multiverse. A tournament against Universe 6 introduces the assassin Hit and the Saiyans of another world. Future Trunks flees to the past again, this time from Zamasu, a god who stole Goku's body and wages war on all mortals. Finally, the two Omni-Kings stage the Tournament of Power: ten fighters from each of eight universes battle in one arena, with entire universes erased when they lose. Goku's new Ultra Instinct form becomes the last hope of Universe 7.

Why Watch Dragon Ball Super
- The Tournament of Power: an 80-fighter battle royale with whole universes at stake.
- Ultra Instinct, Goku's silver-haired godly form, became an instant fan phenomenon.
- Future Trunks returns for the darkest arc, facing the body-stealing god Zamasu.
- Old favourites (Roshi, Krillin, Android 17 and Frieza) get real moments to shine.
- God-level scale: Gods of Destruction, angels and the Omni-Kings expand the universe.
Who Is It For?
Dragon Ball Super keeps the franchise's family-friendly action tone. Common Sense Media suggests ages 10 and up: there is constant martial-arts fighting and planet-level destruction, but it is less bloody than Dragon Ball Z, deaths are usually undone, and the humour is broad and silly. It suits long-time fans and older children alike.
