A Supreme Kai apprentice from Universe 10 who decides that mortals are a mistake the gods must erase. Zamasu steals Goku's body to become Goku Black, teams up with his future self and wages the Zero Mortals Plan across timelines. Calm, polite and utterly convinced of his own justice, he is Dragon Ball's most philosophical villain, a god whose hatred grows every time the mortals he despises refuse to stay dead.

Appearance

Zamasu is an elegant, green-skinned Kai with white hair swept upward, grey eyes and the formal purple-and-gold robes of a Kai apprentice, with a single green Potara earring. As Goku Black, he wears Goku's face and build twisted by refinement: a black gi with a red sash, one Potara earring, and a smile of pure contempt. Fused Zamasu is a grotesque majesty, half elegant god, half melting, corrupted flesh, ringed by a halo of light.

Personality

Zamasu is Dragon Ball's most philosophical villain: calm, articulate and absolutely convinced of his own justice. A god who watched mortals repeat violence across millennia, he concluded they were creation's error, and his disgust curdled into narcissism when a mortal, Goku, dared match the gods in power. What makes him terrifying is sincerity: Zamasu is not lying about his utopia, and every defeat only proves, to him, that mortals are too corrupt to understand it. His politeness never cracks. He thanks his victims, serves tea, and sermonises while erasing worlds, a priest of extinction.

Background & Story

Zamasu was the North Kai of Universe 10 and apprentice to its Supreme Kai, Gowasu, a brilliant, dutiful student whose doubts about mortals hardened as he watched them through his master's GodTube and his own patrols. Meeting Goku, a mortal who casually challenged gods, pushed the doubt into doctrine. Zamasu killed his master, stole the Time Ring and the Super Dragon Balls, and wished for Goku's body, becoming Goku Black, then crossed to a future timeline to join his counterpart there as an immortal. Together, the two Zamases enacted the Zero Mortals Plan, slaughtering gods and mortals across timelines until Trunks' world became their throne, and their judgement day.

Powers & Abilities

• Goku Black: Super Saiyan Rosé: In Goku's stolen body, Zamasu's divine ki turns the Super Saiyan form pink, Rosé, matching Super Saiyan Blue while wielding a god's natural power.
• Energy blade and scythe: Black shapes his ki into a blade, later a great scythe that tears rifts in space itself, summoning clones of himself from the wound.
• Immortality: The future Zamasu wished for an undying body: no wound, poison or disintegration can kill him, making the pair nearly unstoppable together.
• Fused Zamasu: Merged by Potara with his counterpart, Zamasu gains both the stolen body's power and true immortality, raining divine lightning and judgement, until his own corruption begins to unravel him.
• Time Ring and Kai abilities: As a Kai, Zamasu travels through time with the Time Ring, teleports, and wields the telekinesis and energy of the gods.
