Caulifla

About Caulifla

A Saiyan delinquent from Universe 6's planet Sadala, where Saiyans evolved without tails and work as protectors. Caulifla leads a gang of strays but has a genius for fighting: she reaches Super Saiyan almost as soon as she is shown it and pushes further during the Tournament of Power. Brash, loyal to her protégée Kale and thrilled by strong opponents, she is the first female Super Saiyan seen in the TV series.

Appearance

Caulifla is a slim, athletic young woman with wild, spiky black hair standing in all directions, sharp eyes and a delinquent's smirk. She wears a pink tube top, baggy purple trousers and gold jewellery, a gang leader's casual style, nothing like Universe 7's armoured Saiyans, since her world evolved without tails and without Frieza. As a Super Saiyan her hair spikes gold; fused as Kefla, her look merges with Kale's into a taller, cockier whole.

Personality

Caulifla is brash, generous and hungry, a street boss with a king's confidence and a teacher's instinct. She leads a gang of strays on Sadala and looks after them; her protégée Kale is hers to protect, and her loyalty is instant and total. Fighting is joy to her in a way even Goku recognises: Caulifla learns Super Saiyan by feel in minutes, demands the next form like a customer, and treats a tournament for her universe's survival as the best day of her life. Under the swagger is real steel, she shields Kale with her body and bows to no god, emperor or legend.

Background & Story

Caulifla grew up on Sadala, capital world of Universe 6's Saiyans, a race that evolved peacefully as galactic protectors rather than conquerors. A delinquent with absurd natural talent, she led a gang in the slums while her brother Renso, a former Sadala Force captain, recognised her potential as possibly the strongest Saiyan alive. When Universe 6 built its team for the Tournament of Destroyers, it was the veteran Cabba who recruited her, teaching her Super Saiyan in a single sparring session, mostly by insulting her correctly. In the Tournament of Power, Caulifla and Kale became Universe 6's wildfire: the first female Super Saiyans of the television series, and, fused by Potara into Kefla, a warrior who pushed Goku to Ultra Instinct itself.

Powers & Abilities

• Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2: Caulifla masters the golden form by channelling ki into her back, 'tingly' focus, and breaks into Super Saiyan 2 during the Tournament of Power itself.
• Crush Cannon and energy barrages: Her signature: a concentrated red energy blast and wild, inventive barrages that keep stronger fighters honest.
• Potara fusion: Kefla: Fused with Kale, Caulifla becomes Kefla, combining her skill with Kale's bottomless power into a warrior who battles Ultra Instinct Goku.
• Fighting genius: Caulifla adapts mid-battle at a rate that startles even Universe 7's veterans, she reads techniques the way she learned Super Saiyan: instantly, by feel.

Key Relationships

• Kale: Her protégée and sworn sister, Caulifla's protection unlocks Kale's power, and their fusion Kefla is their bond made literal.
• Cabba: The Sadala Force Saiyan who recruited and first taught her, she repays his respect by surpassing him cheerfully.
• Son Goku: The Universe 7 Saiyan she demanded lessons from mid-tournament, their mutual delight in fighting is Super's purest Saiyan moment.
• Renso: Her older brother, a retired Sadala Force captain who first recognised her talent and pointed Cabba her way.
• Hit: Universe 6's ace, Caulifla's brash team loyalty extends even to the assassin she barely knows.
