Jujutsu Kaisen is a dark action anime by studio MAPPA, adapted from Gege Akutami's manga, which premiered in Fall 2020 and has reached 59 episodes plus the prequel movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0. It follows Yuji Itadori, a kind-hearted teen who becomes the host of Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses, and trains at Tokyo Jujutsu High to fight cursed spirits. Fans praise its sharp fight animation, dry humour and the way every victory comes at a real cost.
About Jujutsu Kaisen
High school student Yuji Itadori swallows a cursed finger and becomes the host of the powerful curse Ryomen Sukuna. He joins Tokyo Jujutsu High, where sorcerers train to fight the curses that threaten people every day. The series mixes dark horror, humour and some of the best fight scenes in modern anime. The Jujutsu Kaisen anime is produced by MAPPA and adapted from Gege Akutami's manga. A prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, tells the story of Yuta Okkotsu, and the later seasons raise the stakes into the devastating Shibuya Incident and beyond. What sets the series apart is its balance: brutal, beautifully animated fights on one side, and quiet questions about what a proper death really means on the other. Few modern anime have matched its mix of style, dread and heart.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a TV anime from 2020, first released in Fall 2020. It belongs to the Action and Supernatural genres. The summary above is written by the AnimeYug team in our own words.

Story & Plot
Yuji Itadori is an ordinary high schooler with freakish strength, until he swallows a rotten finger belonging to Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses, to save his friends. Now Sukuna lives inside him, and the secret world of jujutsu sorcerers wants Yuji executed. His sentence is postponed on one condition: find and consume all twenty of Sukuna's fingers first.
At Tokyo Jujutsu High, Yuji trains under Satoru Gojo alongside Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki, learning to fight cursed spirits born from human fear and hatred. But the curses are organising, humans are plotting, and every victory pulls Yuji closer to the day Sukuna takes over for good.
Beneath the battles runs a darker current: sorcerers die young, curses are born from ordinary human misery, and the adults in charge are often as dangerous as the monsters. Yuji's personal promise (to die surrounded by people, having helped as many as he can) is tested harder with every mission, as the line between executing curses and executing a kind-hearted boy grows thinner.
