About Richeh
Richeh is a quiet, stubborn apprentice who draws only the spells she likes and refuses all others, a serious failing in a society built on rules. Her small, delicate magic is beautiful, and her refusal to bend hides a fear of losing the one kind of magic that feels like hers. Coco's friendship slowly draws her out.
Appearance
Richeh is a young girl with long sky-blue hair and matching blue eyes, and a calm, distant expression. She wears the blue apprentice robes of Qifrey's atelier. Everything about her looks delicate, which suits her magic, made of small, fine seals drawn with unusual precision.
Personality
Richeh is quiet, stubborn and fiercely protective of the one kind of magic that feels like hers. She refuses spells she dislikes even when refusing costs her, because being forced to change her magic feels like losing herself. She is calmer under pressure than the other apprentices, and her loyalty, once given, is complete, she simply gives it slowly.
Background & Story
Richeh was born in the Great Hall to a family of witches and first apprenticed alongside her older brother before breaking with her first teacher and joining Qifrey's atelier. Her love of her own small, delicate spells, and her refusal to draw any others, put her at odds with a system that grades apprentices on standard tests. At Qifrey's atelier she is allowed to keep her style, and Coco's friendship, tested alongside Agott in their examinations, begins to convince her that other people's magic does not have to erase her own.
Powers & Abilities
- Drawn seal magic: Richeh draws small, delicate seals of great precision; her spells are modest in scale but beautifully made, and entirely on her own terms.
Key Relationships
- Coco: A fellow apprentice whose friendship slowly persuades Richeh that she does not have to guard her magic alone.
- Qifrey: Her teacher, who lets her keep the magic she loves instead of forcing her into the standard mould.
- Agott Arklaum: A fellow apprentice she is paired with for tests, where Richeh's calm balances Agott's fire.
- Tetia: A fellow apprentice whose cheer is the opposite of Richeh's reserve, and who likes her anyway.
