Kodachi Kuno

About Kodachi Kuno

Kodachi Kuno is Tatewaki's younger sister, the star of St. Hebereke's rhythmic gymnastics team, where she competes with weapons disguised as ribbons, clubs and hoops. Nicknamed the Black Rose for her dramatic entrances and maniacal laugh, she fell for Ranma at first sight and pursues him with poisons, traps and bouquets of black roses. Subtlety is not a concept she has ever encountered.

Appearance

Kodachi is a striking teenager with long black hair, usually in her gymnastics leotard or an elegant dress, arriving in a swirl of black rose petals with her signature laugh. Her ribbons and clubs are never just sporting equipment.

Personality

Kodachi is dramatic, obsessive and cheerfully unscrupulous, poisons, traps and rigged matches are all fair in love. She is refined in manner and unhinged in method, and completely sincere about Ranma.

Background & Story

Kodachi is the star of St. Hebereke Girls' School's martial-arts rhythmic gymnastics team, where matches are fought with modified tools and few rules. She met Ranma, in male form, when he caught her during one of her night-time training appearances, and decided on the spot that he was hers. From the Kuno mansion she wages a campaign of black roses, drugged food and gymnastics duels against Akane and every other rival.
