Zeke Yeager is the holder of the Beast Titan, a tall, ape-like Titan that can speak and throws with devastating accuracy. He serves as War Chief of Marley's Warriors and is Eren's older half-brother, though the two were raised on opposite sides of the sea. Calm, clever and ruthless, Zeke plays a very long game whose true goal he keeps hidden from almost everyone alive.

Appearance

Zeke is a tall man at 183 cm, with blond hair, a trimmed beard and glasses, and a calm, almost professorial face. His Titan form is unmistakable: a seventeen-metre ape-like giant covered in dark fur, with long arms, a bestial face and the rare ability to speak clearly in human language. In human form he favours plain shirts and an easy slouch, often with coffee in hand, looking far more like a scholar than the Survey Corps' most feared enemy.

Personality

Zeke is calm, clever and theatrical in his cruelty, treating battle like a game he commentates on while pitching crushed rock with lethal accuracy. He was raised to betray: as a child he informed on his own parents' resistance to protect himself, and duplicity has been his survival skill ever since. Zeke presents himself as a saviour of the Eldian people, but his true long-term goal is a secret he shares with almost no one, pursued with patience across decades. Affection, ideology and family are all pieces he is willing to move, or sacrifice.

Background & Story

Zeke is the son of Grisha Yeager and Dina Fritz, born in Marley's internment zone for Eldians. His parents, secret restorationists dreaming of Eldian freedom, pushed the boy into the Warrior programme as their spy, but Zeke, failing and frightened, chose a different protector and turned his parents in, sending them to Paradis as Titans. Raised afterward by his grandparents, Zeke excelled, inherited the Beast Titan and rose to War Chief of the Warriors, leading Marley's Titan forces in war. Publicly he serves Marley; privately he carries a plan of his own for ending the age of Titans. The half-brother he has never met, Eren, is central to everything Zeke intends.
