Wakasa Imaushi
From Tokyo Revengers
Wakasa Imaushi, Waka, is a top executive of Brahman in Tokyo Revengers and a legend of the First Generation Black Dragon, considered the strongest fighter of his era alongside Benkei. He is voiced by Shinnosuke Tachibana in Japanese.
About Wakasa Imaushi
Wakasa Imaushi, nicknamed Waka, is a top executive of Brahman and another legend of the First Generation Black Dragon. Lazy-eyed, bored-looking and almost impossible to hit, he was considered the strongest of his era's fighters alongside Benkei. In the Three Titans era he lends Brahman the weight of that legend, and his old ties to Shinichiro Sano's generation quietly connect Senju's young gang to the very first Black Dragons Takemichi ever heard about.
Appearance
Wakasa is a lean man with drooping, sleepy eyes, light hair worn long and a permanently bored expression. He moves like he is conserving energy for something better, loose, lazy, unhurried, which is precisely what makes him so hard to hit: the boredom is real, and so is the speed underneath it.
Personality
Waka is laconic, dry and almost impossible to impress. He has seen the delinquent world's best era and finds the current one mildly entertaining at best. But his loyalty to the old generation's bonds is genuine: he followed Takeomi into Brahman and lends the young gang his legend, his experience and, when it matters, his fists.
Background & Story
Wakasa Imaushi made his name in the First Generation Black Dragon, where he and Keizo 'Benkei' Arashi were the era's most feared pair, Waka the untouchable speedster to Benkei's mountain of power. In the Three Titans era he serves as a top executive of Brahman under Senju and Takeomi. His presence connects Senju's young gang directly to Shinichiro Sano's generation, the first Black Dragons Takemichi ever heard about, and gives Brahman a weight no amount of young talent could buy.
Powers & Abilities
- Elusive Fighting Style (skill): Wakasa is famously almost impossible to hit, his loose, lazy movement and reflexes made him one of the strongest fighters of the first Black Dragon era.
Key Relationships
- Keizo Arashi: Benkei, his partner from the first Black Dragon days; the two are a legendary pair, speed and power, still fighting side by side in Brahman.
- Takeomi Akashi: His old comrade from the first generation, whose lead he followed into Brahman.
- Senju Kawaragi: Brahman's young leader, whom the veteran Waka serves as an executive, lending her gang his era's authority.
