Hinata Tachibana
From Tokyo Revengers
Hinata Tachibana is Takemichi's girlfriend in Tokyo Revengers, the girl whose murder by the future Tokyo Manji Gang starts the entire story. Bright, brave and utterly unafraid of delinquents, she is voiced by Azumi Waki in Japanese and Lizzie Freeman in English.
About Hinata Tachibana
Hinata Tachibana is Takemichi's girlfriend, in both middle school and adulthood, and her murder by the future Tokyo Manji Gang is the event that starts the entire story. Bright, brave and completely unafraid of delinquents, she once slapped Mikey himself to protect Takemichi. Every leap Takemichi makes begins with saving Hina, but the Three Titans era teaches him the hardest version of that lesson: a future where Hina lives is not enough if Mikey is lost.
Appearance
Hinata is a petite girl of 153 cm with shoulder-length light brown hair, warm eyes and a bright, open smile. In the past timeline she wears her middle-school uniform; as an adult she dresses simply and professionally. She looks gentle in every era, which makes the moments she steps in front of gang leaders, hand raised, so startling.
Personality
Hinata is kind, direct and quietly fearless. She loves Takemichi without embarrassment, scolds him without cruelty, and once walked up to Mikey himself and slapped him for threatening the boy she loves. She is not a prize the story hands out, she is a person with her own courage, and her belief in Takemichi, in both timelines, is one of the things that rebuilds him.
Background & Story
Hinata Tachibana dated Takemichi in middle school, his first and only girlfriend, before he drifted away and ran from his own life. Twelve years later, in the present, she is killed along a timeline where the Tokyo Manji Gang has become a criminal organisation: her death, reported on the news, is what reaches the washed-up adult Takemichi and starts his leaps. Every version of the future Takemichi fights to change is measured against one test, does Hinata live? The Three Titans era teaches him the harder lesson that her survival alone is not enough if Mikey is lost.
Key Relationships
- Takemichi Hanagaki: Her boyfriend in middle school and the love of her life in every timeline; she believes in him long before he believes in himself.

- Manjiro Sano: She slapped Mikey to protect Takemichi, an act of courage that earned her the Invincible Mikey's genuine respect.
