Appearance
Airi is a bright, energetic 17-year-old with a direct gaze and an expressive face, usually seen in her Oasi Pizza uniform or casual clothes, phone in hand. Everything about her body language is forward-leaning, she says what she thinks at the speed she thinks it.
Personality
Airi is fearless, loyal and gloriously blunt, with a big dream of becoming a photographer and no patience for giving up on people. Her trust is a decision, not a calculation: when the whole city believes Satoru is a murderer, she judges the man she knows instead. That courage makes her one of the few lights in his adult life, and puts her in danger for it.
Background & Story
Airi works alongside Satoru at Oasi Pizza in 2006, teasing the quiet older deliveryman about his manga dreams and sharing her own ambitions. When Satoru's mother is murdered and Satoru is framed, Airi is one of the only people who believes his innocence, she hides him at her own home at real risk to herself. Her faith, and her blunt signature phrase that echoes Kayo's, become threads tying Satoru's two timelines together: proof in both eras that being believed in can change a person's fate.
