Kimihiko Kimizuka once worked as the assistant of the legendary detective Siesta, who has since passed away. Season 2 brings new cases, new partners and more answers about Siesta's past and the enemies she fought. It mixes mystery, action and a touch of romance. A year after learning the truth about Siesta's death, Kimihiko is drawn back into the world she left behind when Noches, an android who carries Siesta's memories, appears at his door. The secret organisation SPES is moving again, and two powerful Tuners (Mia Whitlock, the Priestess, and Scarlet, the Vampire) enter the fight. Animated by ENGI and directed by Manabu Kurihara, the season premiered on 7 October 2026, five years after Season 1, and it adapts the SPES arc of Nigojū's light novels. New episodes arrive on Crunchyroll every Wednesday, and the season is planned for 13 episodes. Koume performs the opening theme, and Nana Kagura sings the ending.

Story & Plot

On a hijacked flight ten thousand metres above the ground, schoolboy Kimihiko Kimizuka met Siesta, a beautiful silver-haired girl who called herself a legendary detective. For three years he travelled the world as her assistant, fighting the secret organisation SPES and its artificial-human agents. Then Siesta died, and Kimihiko's life went quiet, until a girl named Nagisa Natsunagi arrived carrying Siesta's transplanted heart, and with it pieces of the detective's will. By the end of that case Kimihiko finally learned the truth behind Siesta's death and the mistake even a perfect detective can make.

Season 2 picks up a year later. A new figure steps into Kimihiko's life: Noches, a biological android built from Siesta's memories, who wears her face and claims her legacy. SPES is stirring again, and the balance of the world now rests with the Tuners, special beings who keep it in check. Among them are Mia Whitlock, the Priestess, and Scarlet, the Vampire, whose arrival pulls Kimihiko, Nagisa, idol Yui Saikawa and agent Charlotte Arisaka Anderson back into danger. To carry on Siesta's legacy, Kimihiko must first understand what she truly left behind.
