About Yui Saikawa
Yui Saikawa is a hugely popular idol singer who first came to Kimihiko as a client, asking him to guard a family treasure: a legendary sapphire tied to a threat against her life. Behind her cheerful stage smile she carries a painful past of her own. She stays close to Kimihiko's group after her case ends, bringing energy, money and surprising courage whenever the team needs help.
Appearance
Yui is a petite fourteen-year-old with long hair and a polished idol's presence, moving easily between cute stage outfits and her school uniform. She was born without a left eye and wears an eyepatch in her early appearances, the 'cursed' family sapphire at the centre of her case is bound up with that secret. On stage she is all sparkle; off stage, the eyepatch and her guardedness tell a harder story.
Personality
Yui is cheerful, sharp-tongued and far more mature than her age suggests, the only child of a wealthy family and a working idol since childhood. She performs confidence for cameras and clients alike, but the act covers real loneliness and a painful family history. Once she trusts Kimihiko's group, her loyalty is total, and her fame, fortune and nerve become some of the team's best assets.
