About Kimihiko Kimizuka
Kimihiko Kimizuka is a young man with a lifelong talent for being dragged into trouble. That habit changed his life when he became the assistant of the legendary detective Siesta, travelling the world and fighting the secret organisation SPES at her side. After her death he tried to live quietly, but new cases, old enemies and Siesta's legacy keep pulling him back into the detective's world.
Appearance
Kimihiko is a slim eighteen-year-old with short dark hair, longer bangs and golden-yellow eyes. He favours plain, neat clothes, during his travelling years with Siesta he was often seen in a black suit and white shirt, the uniform of a detective's assistant. His expression is usually flat and tired, the face of a boy who has seen far too many crime scenes for his age.
Personality
Kimihiko is dry, deadpan and resigned, trouble has found him so often since childhood that hijackings and kidnappings barely raise his heart rate. That hard-won calm makes him an ideal detective's assistant: he thinks clearly in danger and says what others are afraid to. Under the sarcasm he is loyal and quietly kind, and his grief for Siesta sits underneath everything, driving him back to cases he claims to want no part of.
Background & Story
Kimihiko Kimizuka was born with what Siesta called a trouble-magnet constitution: since childhood he has been dragged into incidents, crimes and crises wherever he goes. At fourteen, aboard a hijacked plane ten thousand metres up, he met Siesta, a silver-haired girl who called herself a legendary detective, and she recruited him on the spot as her assistant. For three years they travelled the world fighting the secret organisation SPES and its artificial humans. Then Siesta died, and Kimihiko went back to an ordinary school life, until a classmate named Nagisa arrived, carrying a heart that once belonged to Siesta, and the detective's world reopened.
