Zenith Greyrat
Zenith Greyrat is a supporting character in Mushoku Tensei, Rudeus's mother, a kind healer from a noble family who eloped with Paul and built a warm home in Buena Village. She is voiced by Hisako Kanemoto in Japanese and Bryn Apprill in English.
About Zenith Greyrat
Zenith is Rudeus's mother, a kind healer from a noble family who eloped with Paul and built a warm home in Buena Village. Her disappearance in the Teleport Incident drives the family's story for years, and the search for her shapes her husband's redemption and her son's greatest journey. What happened to her is the heart of Season 2.
Appearance
Zenith is a beautiful woman with blonde hair and gentle blue eyes, usually in the simple dresses of a village healer and mother. She has the warmth people mean when they describe a home: an easy smile, flour on her hands, and a garden she tends with the same care as her family. In Paul's memories and her children's, Zenith is the centre the Greyrat house was built around.
Personality
Zenith is kind, cheerful and quietly strong-willed. Born into the devout, noble Latria family, she defied them to become an adventurer and then to marry Paul, a decision she defends with a smile and no regrets. She is the Greyrat family's emotional foundation: the one who forgives, feeds and steadies everyone, including a husband whose flaws she knows precisely and loves anyway. Her disappearance in the Teleport Incident is the wound the whole family organises itself around.
Background & Story
Zenith Latria was a healer of the S-rank party Fangs of the Black Wolf, where she met Paul Greyrat; she left her noble Milis family behind to marry him and settled in Buena Village, raising Rudeus and later Norn. When the Teleport Incident strikes the region, Zenith vanishes with thousands of others. The search for her, led by Paul for years, and later joined by Rudeus, becomes the family's defining journey, and what happened to her is the heart of the story's second season.
