Sylphiette

About Sylphiette

Sylphiette is Rudeus's childhood friend, a gentle half-elf girl he once rescued from bullies, who grows into a gifted silent-casting mage. Separated by the Teleport Incident, she hides her identity as the bodyguard Fitz at Ranoa Magic University. Patient and brave in quiet ways, she is the emotional home Rudeus keeps finding his way back to.

Appearance

Sylphiette, Sylphy, is a slender girl with short green hair in childhood that later grows out white, long half-elf ears and gentle eyes. As a child she is small and timid in simple village clothes; at Ranoa Magic University she appears disguised as the silent male bodyguard 'Fitz', in a uniform with sunglasses hiding her eyes. In every version the impression is the same: quiet, careful and easy to underestimate.

Personality

Sylphiette is gentle, patient and brave in quiet ways. Bullied as a child for her green hair, a colour people associate with the feared Superd, she grows up kind rather than bitter, and her loyalty to Rudeus is steady rather than dramatic. Her courage is the everyday kind: enduring separation, hiding her identity for years in a foreign court, and stepping forward when it matters. She is the emotional home of the story, the person Rudeus's better self was first built around.

Background & Story

Sylphiette was born in Buena Village to a human father and a part-elf mother, and was bullied for her green hair until a young Rudeus intervened, becoming her first friend and her magic teacher. When the Teleport Incident struck, Sylphiette was thrown far away and taken in by the Asura royal family, serving Princess Ariel as the silent bodyguard Fitz while hiding her name, gender and past. Years later a mage named Rudeus Greyrat enrols at Ranoa Magic University, and Fitz has to decide how to approach the friend who does not recognise her.

Powers & Abilities

• Silent casting: Taught by Rudeus as a child, Sylphiette can also cast without incantations, especially healing and water magic.
• Healing and detoxification magic: Her specialties are restorative magics, trained to advanced levels at Ranoa Magic University.
• Bodyguard combat: As Fitz she protects a princess, combining magic with court-trained combat awareness.

Key Relationships

• Rudeus Greyrat: Her childhood friend, first teacher and the centre of her heart across years of separation.
• Elinalise Dragonroad: Her grandmother, the long-lived elf adventurer, whose arrival reconnects Sylphiette with her family past.
