Yuzuriha is gentle without being soft. She is the emotional steady point between Senku's logic and Taiju's volume, observant, patient and quietly brave. Her courage is easy to miss because it looks like endurance: months of secret, delicate work inside enemy territory, reassembling statues Tsukasa smashed, knowing discovery would be fatal. She believes people are worth saving down to their smallest fragments, and she acts on it with her hands. In a series about big inventions, Yuzuriha represents the truth that civilisation is also cloth, thread, patience and care.
Background & Story
Yuzuriha was a member of her school's crafts club and Taiju's childhood friend, the girl he was about to confess to when the petrification came. Revived by Senku and Taiju, she joined their plan and took on its most harrowing secret mission: infiltrating Tsukasa's empire as a supposed defector while, in secret, gluing back together the statues Tsukasa had destroyed, so those people could one day be revived. Her work saved lives no one else could have saved. Back with the Kingdom she leads its craftwork, clothes, sails, flags and the hot-air balloon fabric, the maker behind the scientists' designs.
