About Kaseki
Kaseki is Ishigami Village's master craftsman, an old man whose lifetime of building bridges, kilns and watermills makes him the stone world's greatest pair of hands. When Senku arrives with blueprints for glass, gears and generators, Kaseki does not scoff, he lights up, weeping with joy at techniques he could never have reached alone. Every impossible machine the Kingdom builds passes through his workshop: proof that genius needs makers.
Appearance
Kaseki is a short, powerfully built old man with a bald head, a full grey beard and forearms like rope from a lifetime of work. He wears a craftsman's simple clothes and is usually coated in the dust of whatever he is building. His most famous feature is his enthusiasm made physical: when a new technique excites him, his shirt literally bursts from his swelling pride. In his workshop, kiln, bellows, half-built wonders, Kaseki is completely at home, and his gnarled hands can coax shapes from glass and iron that the young scientists can only draw.
Personality
Kaseki is warm, humble and utterly in love with making things. Decades of craft taught him both mastery and its limits, he knows exactly which techniques his generation could never reach. Senku's arrival is, for him, a miracle of a specific kind: someone who can finally tell him how. His joy at learning glassblowing, gears and precision work in his old age is one of the series' happiest threads, and his pride never curdles into ego, he teaches as gladly as he learns. Every impossible machine the Kingdom builds passes through his workshop: proof that genius needs makers.
Background & Story
Kaseki spent his life as Ishigami Village's craftsman, its bridges, tools and buildings are his work. When Senku needed glass for lenses and laboratory ware, it was Kaseki who, after failing gloriously, mastered glassblowing from Senku's instruction in days. From there his role only grows: watermills, gears, generators, the steam engine, the ship Perseus, the Kingdom's entire industrial climb is built by his hands from Senku's and Chrome's designs. Kaseki represents the stone world's own genius, the accumulated skill of a lifetime that science did not replace but finally, joyfully, completed.

Key Relationships
- Senku Ishigami: The young scientist whose blueprints gave Kaseki's lifetime of skill a whole new world to build.
