About Acrobatic Silky
Acrobatic Silky is a tall, graceful yokai in a red dress and wide hat who moves like a dancer and fights like a nightmare. In life she was a mother who lost her young daughter, and her grief twisted into obsession. She mistakes Aira for her child and gives everything to protect her, Dandadan's saddest and most beautiful monster story.
Appearance
Acrobatic Silky is a very tall, willowy yokai with extremely long dark hair, a pale face with a wide, unsettling smile, and a graceful dancer's build. She wears an elegant red dress and a wide-brimmed hat, and moves like a ballet performer even when she is fighting, every leap and spin is beautiful, which makes her violence worse. Her hair is her most striking feature: it moves with a life of its own, reaching, grabbing and striking like dozens of extra limbs.
Personality
Silky is gentle, doting and completely consumed by a mother's love that has curdled into obsession. She speaks sweetly, behaves like a devoted parent and is terrifying precisely because her love has no limits or judgement left. Toward Aira she is selfless to the end, the one person she would give everything for, and does.
