Now, at Hebrion Academy, he has rebuilt his party (wind mage Romantica Eru, swordsman Pram Schnaizer and the icy prodigy Azest Kingscrown) and beaten the Shadow Worlds once. But a nightmare of Romantica's death, and the return of the demon who killed her in the future he remembers, tell him the war is only beginning. Animated by Arvo Animation, Season 2 premiered on 7 October 2026. New episodes stream on Crunchyroll every Wednesday, this time with a same-day English dub, as Desir's plan moves from saving one academy to saving the whole world.

Ashito Aoi is a talented but selfish young footballer from a small town in Ehime who gets scouted by Tatsuya Fukuda, youth director of Tokyo City Esperion, one of Japan's best academies. Season 1 turned him from a ball-hogging forward into a full-back learning to see the whole pitch. Season 2, which premiered on 4 October 2026 on NHK Educational TV with streaming on Crunchyroll, promotes him to Esperion's A team. That promotion is the whole story: the A team plays in the youth Premier League, against the best young players in the country, and its senior stars, playmaker Haruhisa Kuribayashi and defender Nagisa Akutsu, set a standard Ashito is nowhere near yet. The season runs 24 episodes across two cours, with the first cour covering his brutal education at the higher level. Production has changed hands: TMS Entertainment replaces Production I.G, and Kazuki Yokoyama directs, while series composer Masahiro Yokotani and composer Masaru Yokoyama return. The thinking football that made Season 1 a cult favourite among real football fans is very much intact.

Asta, a boy born without magic in a world where magic is everything, keeps chasing his dream of becoming the Wizard King. Season 2 continues the Magic Knights' battles against new threats to the Clover Kingdom. Expect loud, cheerful energy and big team fights.

Taiki Inomata is a badminton player at Eimei, a school famous for sports, and he has a hopeless crush on Chinatsu Kano, the girls' basketball ace a year above him. When Chinatsu's parents move abroad for work, she comes to live at the Inomata family home, and suddenly the girl Taiki admires from afar is at his breakfast table every morning. Season 2 premiered on 4 October 2026 on TBS, with Netflix streaming worldwide. It picks up exactly where Season 1 ended: Taiki on the edge of confessing his feelings, only for the moment to be cut short by the return of Yumeka Kido, Chinatsu's estranged former teammate. Behind the scenes there are changes too. Daisuke Sako takes over as director and Electric Circus replaces Telecom Animation Film as the animation studio, with planning still by UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS. The season is planned at 12 episodes. The romance stays gentle and the sports stay serious: every confession is earned through training montages, tournaments and the small daily courage of living under the same roof.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 returns to Night City with a brand-new crew chasing money, fame and survival, and this time the city itself, in 2078, is the only returning character that matters. The standalone ten-episode story weaves together four lives: Weak Kingsley, a washed-up edgerunner once called 'the King', now living without the chrome that made him a legend; D, a Snake Nation netrunner hunting the killer who wiped out his clan; Talia Yang, a corpo-born fighter hardened inside the Maelstrom gang; and Roman Carax, a young filmmaker who still believes a camera can capture the truth. An Arasaka data chip carrying an AI called Capri drags all four into the same deadly job. Like the first Edgerunners, it is a story about what the city takes from the people who try to beat it, family, obsession and legacy. Studio TRIGGER returns with director Kai Ikarashi, a reimagined look, Tsuneo Imahori's score and songs written for the series. All ten episodes arrived on Netflix on 20 October 2026.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is an enhanced edition of Dragon Ball Super, made by Toei Animation for its 70th anniversary and the Dragon Ball franchise's 40th. Instead of a simple re-release, the team rebuilt the opening of the 2015 series with large amounts of newly drawn animation, re-recorded voices and a reconstructed story that follows Akira Toriyama's original manga more closely. The remake tells the Battle of Gods, Resurrection 'F' and Universe 6 arcs in a planned run of just 19 episodes, cutting the filler that slowed the original down. It premiered on 11 October 2026, and for new fans it is now the fastest, cleanest way to start the Dragon Ball Super story, while long-time fans get to see famous scenes, including Goku's first fight with Beerus, the way they were meant to look.

Firefly Wedding (Hotaru no Yomeiri) is a Meiji-era romance with a dangerous twist. Satoko Kirigaya, a noblewoman born with a weak heart and little time left, is kidnapped by men who want her dead. To survive, she makes a shocking offer to Shinpei Goto, the assassin hired to kill her: marry her, and her family's fortune will protect them both. The Firefly Wedding anime is produced by david production and directed by Takahiro Kamei, and it premiered on 9 October 2026 in Fuji TV's Noitamina block. It adapts Oreco Tachibana's manga, which ran in Shogakukan's MangaONE app from 2023. Beautiful, tense and surprisingly tender, it became one of the most talked-about romance anime of Fall 2026. Lynn voices Satoko and Kōki Uchiyama voices Shinpei, with iri performing the opening theme, Period, and TOOBOE the ending, Yumegokochi. The manga's main story is already complete, so the whole romance can be adapted from a finished work.

Ranma Saotome turns into a girl when splashed with cold water and back into a boy with hot water, thanks to a training accident at the cursed springs of Jusenkyo in China. Season 3 of MAPPA's remake premiered on 3 October 2026 on Nippon TV, with Netflix streaming each episode worldwide right after the Japanese broadcast. The remake keeps the formula that made Rumiko Takahashi's manga a classic: Ranma's engagement to the temperamental Akane Tendo, a growing crowd of rivals and fiancées, and martial arts applied to absolutely everything, cooking, gymnastics, tea ceremony, you name it. Season 3 opens with Ranma and Ryoga's rivalry front and centre, brings Happosai and Cologne's schemes back into play, and adds new faces, including Sentaro Daimonji of the martial-arts tea ceremony school. Most of the original 1989 voice cast is back in the same roles more than three decades later, which gives the remake a warmth no reboot could fake. If you like your comedy fast, physical and hopelessly romantic, this is the season to jump in, though the first two seasons are only 12 episodes each.

Sasaki is a tired office worker whose pet bird Peeps is secretly a powerful sage from another world. With Peeps' magic he hops between modern Japan and a fantasy world, but psychics and secret agents keep complicating his quiet life. Season 2 continues this unusual mix of fantasy and everyday comedy. Sasaki still dreams of a slow, peaceful life, trading goods between worlds, eating well at his otherworld restaurant and training in magic under Peeps, whose real name is Piercarlo, the Sage of the Stars. But his day job at the Cabinet Office's paranormal bureau, the magical girls and demons around his home, and new arrivals such as the demon Abaddon keep ruining his plans. Animated by SILVER LINK., the season premiered on 7 October 2026 with a one-hour special. New episodes stream on Crunchyroll every Wednesday, and the anything-goes mix (office comedy one week, magical battle or alien first contact the next) is exactly what made the first season a word-of-mouth hit.

Maomao is a clever young apothecary who solves medical mysteries inside the imperial palace. In Season 3, which premiered on Friday 2 October 2026, the story grows beyond the palace walls: after the Shi clan's rebellion shook the court, Maomao returns to her old life as a pharmacist in the pleasure district, but the court's secrets will not leave her alone, and Jinshi, now openly carrying the heavy duties of the emperor's brother, still needs her mind. The season is airing in two parts: the first cour runs through autumn 2026, and the second cour follows in April 2027. The production also shifts, studio OLM now animates the series on its own, with director Akinori Fudesaka returning from Season 2, while TOHO animation STUDIO steps back after co-producing the first two seasons. Expect the same slow, smart mysteries as ever: poisons, plagues and palace politics, solved by a heroine who would honestly rather be tasting toxins than attending banquets. A theatrical film with an original story by the author follows in Japanese cinemas in December 2026.

Kimihiko Kimizuka once worked as the assistant of the legendary detective Siesta, who has since passed away. Season 2 brings new cases, new partners and more answers about Siesta's past and the enemies she fought. It mixes mystery, action and a touch of romance. A year after learning the truth about Siesta's death, Kimihiko is drawn back into the world she left behind when Noches, an android who carries Siesta's memories, appears at his door. The secret organisation SPES is moving again, and two powerful Tuners (Mia Whitlock, the Priestess, and Scarlet, the Vampire) enter the fight. Animated by ENGI and directed by Manabu Kurihara, the season premiered on 7 October 2026, five years after Season 1, and it adapts the SPES arc of Nigojū's light novels. New episodes arrive on Crunchyroll every Wednesday, and the season is planned for 13 episodes. Koume performs the opening theme, and Nana Kagura sings the ending.

Tokyo Revengers: War of the Three Titans Arc is Season 4 of Tokyo Revengers, and it adapts the final arc of Ken Wakui's hit manga. Produced by LIDENFILMS, the season premiered on 2 October 2026 and runs for 13 episodes. Tokyo has entered the Three Titans era, where the gangs Brahman, Rokuhara Tandai and the Kanto Manji Gang fight for control of the city. Takemichi Hanagaki, who can leap twelve years into the past, returns to the fight one more time to stop Mikey's fall into darkness and save the people he loves. If you have followed the Tokyo Revengers anime from the start, this is the closing chapter everything has been building towards. Maki Kodaira directs the new season, JO1 performs the opening theme IGNITE, and Disney+ streams the season worldwide outside mainland China, with Hulu carrying it in the United States. It is the final season of the anime, closing a run that began in 2021.

Shiki Ichinose learns he carries the blood of the Oni, the demons hunted by the Momotaro Agency. In the Nikko Kegon Falls arc he trains with other Oni while the war between the two bloodlines grows hotter. It is a dark, stylish action series about identity and family. After the Kyoto and Nerima battles, Shiki and his Rasetsu Academy classmates have grown stronger, but their classmate Ikari Yaoroshi has left the academy to join the Oni Brigade, a rogue Oni force bent on wiping out the Momotaro completely, civilians included. Shiki sets out to bring him back, and the trail leads to Nikko, where the Momotaro Agency runs a research facility above Kegon Falls that hides horrific experiments. Animated by Studio Hibari, the arc premiered on 2 October 2026 and is planned as a split two-cour run. It adapts the Nikko chapters of Yura Urushibara's manga, and new episodes stream worldwide every Friday on Crunchyroll, Netflix and Prime Video.
