About Yuri Briar
Yuri is Yor's younger brother, a cheerful civil servant who is secretly an officer of Ostania's secret police, the SSS. He worships his big sister, distrusts her sudden husband on sight, and hunts the spy Twilight without knowing Twilight sits across his dinner table. His sister complex and his sharp detective mind make every family visit chaos.
Appearance
Yuri is a handsome 20-year-old man, 179 cm tall, with medium-length messy black hair and red eyes like his sister's, the creator has noted that if Yor were a man, she would look like Yuri. He dresses as a neat young diplomat for his cover job at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Personality
Yuri is cheerful, brilliant and completely unreasonable about exactly one subject: his sister. He is a sharp interrogator and a devoted SSS officer who believes he is protecting his country, and a devoted little brother who believes Yor can do no wrong and her husband can do nothing right. His detective mind and his sister complex make every family visit chaos, usually for Loid.
Background & Story
Yuri was raised by Yor after their parents' deaths, and her assassin work, which he never knew about, paid for his education. He grew into a gifted young officer: publicly a diplomat at the Foreign Ministry, secretly a Second Lieutenant in the State Security Service, hunting Westalian spies. His two lives collide at his sister's dinner table, where the husband he is determined to expose is Twilight himself. Yuri's visits are Loid's most dangerous recurring mission, a lie-detector with a grudge, who adores Anya and Yor and suspects everything else.
Powers & Abilities
- Interrogation and investigation: Yuri is a gifted SSS counterintelligence officer, a sharp interrogator and investigator whose hunches about Loid are uncomfortably accurate.
Key Relationships

- Loid Forger: His brother-in-law, whom he distrusts on sight, and, unknowingly, the spy Twilight he is sworn to hunt.
