About Damian Desmond
Damian is the second son of Donovan Desmond, the man Loid must get close to, and Anya's classmate at Eden Academy. Arrogant, lonely and desperate for his distant father's approval, he bullies Anya one minute and blushes at her the next. Beneath the pride is a hardworking boy who wants, more than anything, to be noticed at home.
Appearance
Damian is a six-year-old boy, 110 cm tall, with dark green hair and a proud, haughty expression modelled on a father he barely sees. At Eden Academy he wears the school's uniform with a prefect's bearing, flanked by his loyal followers Emile and Ewen, and works very hard to look like a Desmond at all times.
Personality
Damian is arrogant, proud and quick to sneer, and underneath, a lonely, hardworking little boy starving for his father's notice. He studies and strives to earn Stella stars as offerings to a parent who barely looks at him. Anya confuses him completely: she punched him, she baffles him, she occasionally sees straight through him, and his feelings about her are the one thing his pride cannot manage.
Background & Story
Damian is the younger son of Donovan Desmond, leader of Ostania's National Unity Party and the reclusive target of Operation Strix. Enrolled at Eden Academy, he becomes the centre of Loid's 'friendship scheme': if Anya befriends Damian, Loid gains a path to his father. The plan survives contact with reality, Anya punches Damian on the first day, and what grows instead is messier and better: a rivalry, a crush Damian would deny under oath, and the first honest friendship of his carefully performed childhood.
Key Relationships
