About Shizue Izawa
Shizue, called Shizu, is a Japanese girl summoned to this world during wartime and bound to the fire spirit Ifrit, becoming the Conqueror of Flames. She spent her long life teaching summoned children and hunting the demon who ruined her life. Her meeting with Rimuru is brief, but her wish and her form shape everything he becomes.
Appearance
Shizue appears as a young Japanese woman with long dark hair and gentle eyes, usually wearing a white mask with a red marking that helps her suppress the fire spirit inside her, along with the travelling clothes and sword of a veteran adventurer. Despite her youthful face she has lived for decades in this world, and her calm, tired smile carries the weight of a very long, hard life.
Personality
Shizue is kind, patient and quietly unbreakable. Summoned as a small child into a war and used as a weapon, she refused to become cruel: she spent her life teaching and protecting other summoned children and hunting the demon lord who had ruined her life. Even with Ifrit slowly consuming her body, she thinks of others first, her final concern is not herself, but the children she taught and the stranger who showed her kindness at the end.
