Mirellia Q Melromarc
Mirellia Q Melromarc is the Queen of Melromarc in The Rising of the Shield Hero, the kingdom's true ruler, a brilliant diplomat who returns from abroad to clean up her family's framing of the Shield Hero. She is voiced by Kikuko Inoue in Japanese and Katelyn Gault in English.
About Mirellia Q Melromarc
Queen Mirellia is Melromarc's true ruler, a brilliant diplomat who returns from abroad to find her husband and daughter framed her own summoned hero. She cleans up the kingdom's mess with ruthless fairness, punishing even her own family. Naofumi trusts almost no authority in this world; Mirellia is the rare exception who earns it.
Appearance
Mirellia is a regal woman with long purple hair, composed violet eyes and the bearing of someone who has chaired a thousand councils, dressed in the formal white-and-purple of Melromarc's queenship. She looks like Melty grown into command, and like Malty, which makes her fairness toward both daughters more striking. She runs her court through a network of agents called Shadows, and carries herself with a stillness that suggests she already knows everything you are about to say. Kings in her world bargain; Mirellia simply arrives, and the bargaining reorganises itself around her.
Personality
Mirellia is brilliant, composed and completely unsentimental about power. She reads kingdoms the way her Shadows read rooms, plans three moves deep, and does not flinch from punishing her own husband and daughter when justice requires it, fairness is her legitimacy, and she spends it carefully. Yet she is not cold: she is a mother, a diplomat who prefers peace, and a ruler who genuinely believes Melromarc must answer for its sins to survive. Naofumi, who trusts no authority on principle, makes exactly one exception, the queen who earned it by conduct.
Background & Story
Mirellia Q Melromarc is Melromarc's true ruler, a queen whose authority exceeds her husband King Aultcray's, and whose diplomatic work abroad kept her away when the Cardinal Heroes were summoned. She returns home to a disaster: her husband and eldest daughter have framed the Shield Hero, persecuted demi-humans and dragged the kingdom toward war with its neighbours and its own church. Her response is a masterclass in ruthless fairness: she investigates everything, protects the Shield Hero her family wronged, and punishes the guilty without exempting her own blood. In a kingdom of schemers, Mirellia is the one player whose word, once given, has never been broken, which is why Naofumi trusts her.
