Lance Crown

About Lance Crown

Lance Crown is the top scoring student of Mash Burnedead's year at Easton Magic Academy, a gravity magic user of rare power and the first real rival Mash faces at school. Proud, precise and deadly serious, Lance measures everyone against his own standard, and he has a personal reason to chase the title of Divine Visionary that he keeps close to his chest.

Appearance

Lance is a tall, composed young man with neat pale blue hair and a cool, severe expression. He wears the Easton uniform with perfect precision, and carries himself like someone who has never once been late, untidy or wrong.

Personality

Lance is proud, blunt and brutally honest about other people's weaknesses, starting with his own classmates. He is also honourable: he fights fair, keeps his word, and works harder than anyone. Losing to Mash lit a fire in him rather than bitterness, and rivalry slowly turned into respect.

Background & Story

Lance entered Easton with the highest entrance scores of his year and a goal he does not discuss: becoming a Divine Visionary matters to him for family reasons. His first clash with Mash, the strange new student who seemed to do everything wrong, ended in a defeat that rearranged his thinking. Since then he has fought through the same selection exams as Mash's group, part rival, part ally.

Powers & Abilities

• Gravity magic: Lance's personal magic manipulates gravity, crushing the ground, pinning opponents and bending the battlefield itself. It is elite level magic, and he uses it with complete control.

Key Relationships

• Mash Burnedead: His rival at Easton. Mash beat him in their first clash, and Lance has been chasing and fighting beside him ever since.
• Dot Barrett: A classmate whose noise and temper are everything Lance is not. They argue constantly and fight well together anyway.
