About Yumeka Kido
Yumeka Kido is Chinatsu's former basketball teammate, whose return in Season 2 cracks open the past Chinatsu never talks about. The two were once close, on court and off, before something between them broke. Yumeka's reappearance, just as Taiki finally gathers the courage to confess, forces Chinatsu to face old guilt and unfinished feelings, and gives Season 2 its emotional engine.
Appearance
Yumeka returns in Season 2 with a colder, harder presence than the warm cast around her, a basketball player carrying visible resentment. Where Chinatsu is composed, Yumeka is openly hostile, and her body language toward her former friend says what their broken history has not yet explained.
Personality
Yumeka is driven by resentment in a series whose characters mostly run on encouragement. She was once the better player, the one who taught Chinatsu the game, and time has reversed their positions. She questions whether love has dulled her former friend's dedication, and her bitterness is the emotional engine of Season 2: an old wound, carried by someone who refuses to pretend it healed.
Background & Story
Yumeka and Chinatsu were childhood friends and mini-basketball teammates; Yumeka was originally the stronger player and taught Chinatsu how to play. Yumeka's reappearance in Season 2, just as Taiki finally gathers the courage to confess, forces Chinatsu to face old guilt and unfinished feelings. Through Yumeka, the guarded ace's past finally becomes part of her present.
