Sebas Tian

About Sebas Tian

Sebas is Nazarick's head butler, an elderly gentleman whose perfect manners hide the strength of one of the tomb's strongest hand-to-hand fighters. Created by the most heroic of Ainz's old guildmates, he cannot ignore people in trouble, which draws him into the kingdom's underworld. His kindness and his loyalty pull him in opposite directions.

Appearance

Sebas appears as a distinguished elderly man with slicked white hair, a neat beard and steel-grey eyes, immaculate in a black butler's tailcoat with white gloves. Every movement is measured and courteous; he looks like the ideal head servant of a great house. The impression is accurate and completely misleading, Sebas's unarmed strikes can shatter steel, and he is counted among Nazarick's strongest in close combat.

Personality

Sebas is courteous, composed and, uniquely in Nazarick, genuinely kind. Created by Touch Me, the most heroic of Ainz's guildmates, Sebas inherited his creator's instinct to help people in trouble, which in Nazarick counts as a character defect. His rescue of a trafficked girl in the royal capital puts his kindness and his loyalty on a collision course, and the resulting test, staged by Ainz himself, reveals how completely both qualities live in the same butler.

Background & Story

Sebas Tian was created by Touch Me, the world-champion warrior among Ainz's guildmates, as Nazarick's head butler and the last line of defence before the throne room. In the New World he manages the tomb's household and serves as Ainz's eyes in the Re-Estize capital, where his undercover work as a harmless old servant gathers intelligence. There he rescues Tuare, a dying girl no one else would save, an act of pure Touch Me-style heroism that draws Sebas into the capital's underworld and forces Ainz to test where his butler's heart truly lies.

Powers & Abilities

• Master martial artist: Sebas is one of Nazarick's strongest close-combat fighters, with palm strikes and speed that overwhelm elite warriors barehanded.
• Dragonoid true form: His real nature is draconic; in his true form his already formidable strength rises further.
• Butler's network: As head butler he runs Nazarick's household staff and its intelligence cover in human society flawlessly.

Key Relationships

• Ainz Ooal Gown: His master, who respects the heroism Sebas inherited from Touch Me even when it must be tested.
• Demiurge: His ideological opposite, Sebas's mercy and Demiurge's cruelty clash over the fate of one rescued girl.
