Ryo Shimazaki is a blind member of Claw's Ultimate 5 who 'sees' the world through extrasensory perception, and treats everything, including world conquest, as a game. His teleporting, taunting fighting style lets him toy with squads of espers and heroes alike, reading every move before it comes. Arrogant and thrill-seeking, he only retreats when he finally senses a power even he cannot read: Mob's.
Appearance
Shimazaki is a lean young man with messy light hair kept over permanently closed eyes, and a smug, playful grin. He dresses casually for a member of an elite unit, jacket, loose clothes, hands often in pockets, and his whole posture says the situation is entertainment provided for him personally. In battle he is never where anyone is looking: the design sells his teleportation as much as his blindness, appearing mid-sentence behind people's guards.
Personality
Shimazaki is a thrill-seeker first and a soldier never. Arrogant, teasing and perpetually bored, he measures everything by how much fun it is and complains when opponents bore him. That same detachment makes him honest in a strange way, he has no loyalty to Claw's cause to protect, and when the fun finally turns into genuine fear against Mob, he does the sensible thing his fanatic colleagues cannot: he leaves.
Background & Story
Shimazaki lost his sight and gained extrasensory perception that more than replaces it, letting him sense people, objects and incoming attacks around him. Recruited into Claw, he rose to the Ultimate 5 on talent and a complete lack of ideology, world conquest is simply the biggest game available to him. During Claw's assault on Seasoning City he toys with squads of espers, heroes and officials alike, treating the war as sport, until he finally pushes at the one presence his senses cannot comfortably read: Mob's.
