Minami Kotobuki

About Minami Kotobuki

Minami Kotobuki is a gravure model and Ruby's classmate at Youtou High School, where many young performers study. Friendly and down to earth, she gives Ruby a taste of normal school life inside the industry school. Minami later joins the cast of the film about Ai, stepping from modelling into acting alongside her friend as the project of a generation takes shape.

Appearance

Minami is a friendly, down-to-earth teenager with a model's build and an easy smile, usually seen in her school uniform or casual clothes rather than performance outfits. Next to the polished performers at her school she looks refreshingly ordinary, which is her charm: Minami is the classmate who treats the industry as a job, not an identity.

Personality

Minami is warm, practical and unpretentious. She likes her work without being consumed by it, and her grounded attitude makes her a stabilising friend for Ruby, whose life is anything but normal. She is supportive without being a pushover, the classmate most likely to say the sensible thing and mean it kindly.

Background & Story

Minami works as a gravure model and attends Youtou High School, the school favoured by young performers, where she becomes Ruby Hoshino's friend and classmate. Through Minami, Ruby gets a taste of something rare in her life: normal school friendship inside the industry bubble. Minami later joins the cast of the film about Ai Hoshino's life, stepping from modelling into acting alongside her friend as the project takes shape.

Key Relationships

• Ruby Hoshino: Her classmate and friend, whose extraordinary life Minami treats with refreshing normality.
• Frill Shiranui: A fellow performer in the same school and industry circles, whose stardom Minami regards with calm respect.
