About Lee Joohee
Lee Joohee is a kind B-rank healer who raided alongside Jinwoo when he was still the weakest hunter, and one of the few who treated him with genuine warmth. She survives the double dungeon beside him, but the horror of that day leaves deep trauma. Her fear eventually pushes her toward retirement, even as she remains one of Jinwoo's oldest and dearest friends.
Appearance
Joohee is a young woman with long orange hair worn in a loose braid or ponytail, gentle eyes and a soft, approachable presence that stands out among battle-worn hunters. In gates she wears a healer's light gear with her staff, staying at the back of the formation where her magic can reach everyone. Her design is warmth itself, which the story uses honestly: Joohee looks like safety, and the double dungeon teaches her, in front of the audience, exactly how fragile safety is. After it, the same gentle face carries shadows it did not have before, and that change is the point of her.
Personality
Joohee is kind without calculation, she healed the weakest hunter's wounds, scolded him for risking himself, and treated E-rank Jinwoo as a person worth worrying about when most hunters treated him as a burden or a joke. She is also honest about her limits: she freezes in true terror, knows it, and hates it. The double dungeon breaks something in her that healing magic cannot fix, and her story becomes about trauma rather than power, a good person deciding whether a life that terrifies her is still hers to live. Joohee matters to Solo Leveling precisely because she does not level up: she is what the hunting world does to ordinary hearts.
Background & Story
Joohee was a B-rank healer working association raids in Jinwoo's weakest days, one of the regulars on the low-rank gates where the E-rank was always hurt and always apologising. She looked out for him with a healer's exasperation and real affection. She was in the party that found the double dungeon, and she survived its temple of statues because Jinwoo solved its commandments and gave up his place to save the others, a debt and a horror she carries together. The trauma of that day follows her through later raids until fear finally pushes her toward retiring from hunting altogether, even as Jinwoo, the boy she once bandaged, becomes the most famous hunter in the country.
Powers & Abilities
- Healing magic: As a B-rank healer, Joohee can close wounds and restore hunters mid-raid, the support that kept weak parties like Jinwoo's alive.
- Buff magic: She can strengthen allies with support spells, increasing their speed and power during a fight.
Key Relationships
- Sung Jinwoo: The E-rank hunter she healed and worried over in his weakest days, her kindness to him then is something Jinwoo never forgets.
- Sung Jinah: Jinwoo's sister, part of the small circle of ordinary warmth Joohee belongs to in Jinwoo's life.
- Song Chi-Yul: The veteran swordsman who led the raid party in the double dungeon. Joohee healed under his command on the day that changed all of them.
