Krone
Krone is a supporting character in The Promised Neverland, Sister Krone, sent to Grace Field House as Isabella's assistant. Loud, strong and ambitious, she plays her own game for Isabella's position while the children plot around her. She is voiced by Nao Fujita in Japanese and Rebeka Thomas in English.
About Krone
Sister Krone arrives at Grace Field House as Isabella's new assistant, and immediately starts her own game. Loud, theatrical and frighteningly strong, she wants Isabella's position for herself and is willing to use the children's escape plan to get it. Krone is both a threat hanging over the children and, in her own way, another victim of the farm system.
Appearance
Krone is a tall, powerfully built woman with dark skin, short dark hair and a wide, intense smile. She wears the same dark dress and white apron as Isabella, and carries a beloved doll from her own childhood. Her expressions are big, grins, glares and theatrical sweetness, a deliberate contrast with Isabella's stillness.
Personality
Krone is ambitious, dramatic and far smarter than her clownish moments suggest. She wants to become a Mom herself and sees Grace Field's escape problem as her ladder. She can be genuinely warm with children in one moment and terrifying in the next, and underneath the scheming is someone who grew up inside the same farm system and learned that climbing it was the only survival she was offered.
Background & Story
Krone arrives at Grace Field House as extra help after Isabella reports that the oldest children may know the house's secret. Officially she is there to watch the children; privately she hunts for evidence of Isabella's failure that she can report to headquarters. She tests the children in games of tag, tries to recruit them against Isabella and pursues her own investigation through the house. Krone's presence turns the escape into a three-sided contest, children, Mom and Sister, each watching the other two, and her own history as a child raised by the system gives her scenes a bitter edge.
Powers & Abilities
- Physical strength: Krone is exceptionally strong and fast for an adult, able to chase down even Grace Field's quickest children in tag.
Key Relationships
- Isabella: Her superior and rival, Krone serves her while looking for the mistake that will bring her down.
- Emma: One of the children Krone tests, courts and threatens in turn as she hunts the escape plot.
