Kiril

About Kiril

Kiril is a senior Kang Tao executive, Avida's husband and Talia Yang's father. His corporate calm is a mask of perfect control: at work he directs one of the world's great arms companies, and at home he holds together a family built over his wife's buried past. Talia's rebellion against her corpo upbringing is, in part, a rebellion against him.

Appearance

Kiril is an immaculate executive, tailored suits, controlled gestures, a face that gives boardrooms nothing. He looks like the top of Night City is supposed to look, which is precisely the world his daughter walked out of.

Personality

Kiril is controlled, proud and company-minded to the core. He directs part of one of the world's great arms companies by day and holds together a family built over his wife's buried past by night. His daughter Talia's rebellion, Maelstrom, chrome, the street, is in part a rebellion against everything his control represents, and Kiril's inability to simply command his family is the crack in the executive armour.

Background & Story

Kiril rose to senior rank inside Kang Tao, Night City's arms-manufacturing giant, and married Avida, a jazz singer with an edgerunner past, building an executive family in the corporate towers. His daughter Talia was supposed to inherit that world's safety. Instead she joined Maelstrom, and when an Arasaka experiment makes her valuable to dangerous people, Kiril's two responsibilities, company and family, stop being separable.
