Fall 2017 Anime

Black Clover is the original 170-episode anime series from Studio Pierrot, based on Yuki Tabata's manga. It follows Asta and Yuno, two orphans raised together in a small village church, who both dream of becoming the Wizard King, the strongest mage in the Clover Kingdom. The catch: Yuno is a magic prodigy, while Asta was born with no magic at all, until a mysterious five-leaf grimoire gives him the power of anti-magic. The Black Clover anime ran from October 2017 to March 2021 and became one of the defining shonen series of its generation, famous for its loud energy, huge team battles and a hero who simply never gives up. The story continues in Black Clover Season 2. With 170 episodes of escalating magic battles, it is a big commitment, and one of the most rewarding in modern shonen anime.
