Fall 2026 Anime Rankings Week 5: Steel Ball Run Wins Its First Weekly Poll

The short answer first: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run won the Fall 2026 Week 5 poll with 10.42 percent of the vote. The results were published on 6 November 2026, and it's the show's first weekly win of the season.

The short answer: Steel Ball Run takes Week 5 with 10.42 percent of the vote

This one was close, which makes it more fun to read. Steel Ball Run climbed from 7th place to 1st in a single week, but its winning margin was just 1.01 points. Compare that with Week 4, when Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, The Calamity won with 25.31 percent and nobody else got near it. Week 5 was a proper fight.

The top 5 in full

RankTitleVote share
1JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run10.42%
2Even the Student Council Has Its Holes!9.41%
3Firefly Wedding9.32%
4Black Clover Season 27.39%
5The Apothecary Diaries Season 35.40%

The poll covers far more than these five, of course. If you want the full chart, the Anime Corner polls page carries the complete list. Here we're sticking to the top of the table, where the movement actually happened.

Steel Ball Run: first win, climbing from 7th to 1st

A jump from 7th to 1st is the story of the week. Steel Ball Run has been hovering in the poll without taking a week until now, and the climb suggests viewers are warming to this run as it goes. First wins matter in these polls. Shows that break through once tend to stay in the conversation.

Student Council and Firefly Wedding: separated by 0.09 points

Second and third place were basically a photo finish. Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! took 2nd with 9.41 percent, and Firefly Wedding followed in 3rd with 9.32 percent. That gap of 0.09 points is a handful of votes either way, so don't be surprised if these two swap places next week.

Black Clover and Apothecary Diaries hold the top 5

Black Clover Season 2 sits 4th with 7.39 percent, a solid hold for a returning series deep into its run. The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 rounds out the top 5 at 5.40 percent. Fifth in this poll undersells it a bit, though, as the next section shows.

Apothecary Diaries also tops ABEMA for a fifth straight week

Different audience, different result. On ABEMA's weekly streaming rankings in Japan, The Apothecary Diaries was No. 1 for the week of 26 October. That's its fifth consecutive week at the top over there.

It's a good reminder that polls and streaming charts measure different things. One counts the fans motivated enough to vote. The other counts everyone who actually pressed play. The Apothecary Diaries is winning the second one by a distance.

How the poll works, and when Week 6 closes

The Anime Corner weekly poll lets fans vote for their favourite episodes of the week, and the results are published once voting closes. Week 6 voting runs from 6 to 13 November 2026, so there's still time to vote if your favourite had a big episode this week.

We'll cover the Week 6 results when they land. If Steel Ball Run holds 1st place, that's a streak starting. If it drops back, Week 5 becomes the week everything briefly flipped. Either way, it's worth watching.
