Story & Plot
Ume Mizunoe starts high school with a clear split in his report card. Japanese literature comes easily to him. Science does not, and those weak science marks are a real problem.
His fix is practical: join the student council. Council work looks good on a school record, and Ume hopes it will help pull his grades back into shape. It is a sensible plan, right up until he meets the people he will be working with.
The council's upperclassmen are eccentric, each in a different way, and council business rarely goes the way Ume expects. He came in looking for better grades. What he gets is a front row seat to the oddest corner of school life, and a school year that keeps pulling him into its messes.
