One Piece at Jump Festa 2027: New Looks at THE ONE PIECE Remake and Film God Valley Promised

The short answer first: One Piece fans have a date to circle. Weekly Shonen Jump's latest issue reports that the Jump Festa 2027 stage will share new updates on THE ONE PIECE, the WIT Studio remake, and on One Piece Film God Valley. The event itself runs from 19 to 20 December 2026.

What Jump Festa 2027 will show

Jump Festa is where the biggest Shonen Jump series tend to drop their next big news, and this year One Piece is bringing two projects with it. One is a remake of the early story. The other is a film built around one of the most talked about flashbacks in the manga.

Nothing more specific has been promised yet. No trailer, poster or cast reveal has been confirmed for the stage, so it is best to keep expectations simple for now: new updates, in whatever form the team chooses to share them.

THE ONE PIECE: the remake starts in February 2027

THE ONE PIECE is the remake being made by WIT Studio, and it already has a launch plan. It premieres on Netflix in February 2027, with 7 episodes released at once.

Starting again from Romance Dawn makes sense. It is where Luffy's story begins, and a fresh version gives new viewers a clean way in without asking them to start a series that has been running for decades.

Film God Valley and the second film, BAAD

One Piece Film God Valley was announced in August 2026 and is set for summer 2027. It adapts the God Valley flashback from the manga, which is a first for a franchise film. Earlier films told original stories, so building one around a manga flashback is a real change of approach.

And it is not the only film on the slate. A second film, One Piece Film BAAD, is set for 2029. That is a long way off, but it shows the film side of the franchise is being planned years ahead, not one movie at a time.

Where the TV anime stands right now

The regular TV anime is still on its break. It stays on break until 2027, and no return date has been announced. Episode 1180 closed the Elbaph run on 27 September 2026, and that was the last new episode for now.

So the picture is a bit unusual. The weekly series is paused, yet the franchise is anything but quiet. A remake lands in February, a film follows in the summer, and Jump Festa in December is where we should learn more about both. Our One Piece page tracks the series, its arcs and its watch order in one place.
