Is Bass X Machina on Netflix India today?

Yes. It released worldwide on Netflix on 3 November 2026, and it unlocked in India at 1:30 p.m. IST, so all six episodes are available now.

Do I need to watch anything before it?

No. It is a standalone limited series, so you can start with Episode 1 without watching anything else first.

Will there be a Bass X Machina Season 2?

It is billed as a limited series and no second season has been announced, so there is nothing confirmed beyond these six episodes.

Bass X Machina on Netflix: Release Time in India, Episodes and Cast

The short answer first: Bass X Machina is out now on Netflix. All 6 episodes dropped together on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, so there's no weekly wait and nothing left to premiere.

The short answer: out now, all episodes at once

Netflix released the complete series in one go. You can watch the whole story today, in order, at whatever pace suits you.

That's a good fit for this one. It's billed as a limited series, which usually means a beginning, a middle and an end inside a single run.

Release date and time in India and worldwide

Netflix unlocked the series at 12:00 a.m. PT on Tuesday, 3 November 2026. For viewers in India, that worked out to 1:30 p.m. IST on the same day, and in the eastern United States it was 3:00 a.m. ET.

So if you checked Netflix on Tuesday morning in India and couldn't find it, that was just the time difference doing its thing. By Tuesday afternoon it was live.

How many episodes, and is there a Season 2?

There are 6 episodes in total. The premiere episode is titled "Until Then... I'm Bass Reeves", and it opens the run.

On a second season, the answer is simple: nothing has been announced. The show is billed as a limited series, so these six episodes are the full story for now. If that changes, we'll update this page.

Cast and creators

The series was created by LeSean Thomas and animated by Studio Mir. Brian Tyree Henry voices Bass, and he's also on board as an executive producer, so his involvement goes well beyond the recording booth.

Janelle Monáe is also in the voice cast. Plot details, characters and the full listing are on our Bass X Machina page.

What the show is about, in plain terms

Bass Reeves was a real lawman, and this show reimagines him in a very different America. He's a cybernetic bounty hunter here, working in a steampunk version of the post-Civil War country.

So it's history as a starting point, not a history lesson. The setting does the heavy lifting: frontier justice, machine parts, steam powered tech and a bounty hunter caught between all of it.
